After a year of working towards the achievement of personal and collective dreams, Chosen Generation met at Kaazi Camping Site, Busaabala, for seven days of reflection, redefinition, and revivification. The seven-day retreat is an annual retreat held at the beginning of every year, where the members are given a special time of consecration – silent but important hours committed to general rejuvenation and change. 

The just concluded Chosen Generation Retreat 2025 was an unqualified success, leaving memories that will outlast the people of Luwero’s younger generation. Attended from the 2nd to the 10th of January, by 107 participants, the retreat was prefaced by the theme “Bearing Fruits That Will Last”, a mandate to cultivate virtues, talents, and faith which will last in the future rather than the passing moment. The retreat this year was a holistic experience, with spiritual development, individual growth, and skill-building workshops. The delegates had enriching worship sessions, reflective teachings, leadership development, and experiential activities to equip them as future change agents. 

The well-planned agenda of the retreat had a balanced combination of prayer, reflection, team-building activities, and interactive forums, leaving every participant with a renewed vision and purpose. Workshops and mentoring sessions covered relevant issues affecting the youth today, including entrepreneurship, career development, emotional resilience, and volunteerism. Seasoned facilitators and mentors equipped participants with skills to persevere and become active leaders in their communities. Apart from the sessions, the retreat also produced a suffocating feeling of togetherness and belongingness. The youth from various backgrounds came together and bonded with one another, forming bonds of friendship, responsibility, and shared purpose. Through common meals, activities, and conversations, participants experienced a caring community, which deepened their commitment to personal and group development. 

As Chosen Generation carries on in its mission to get young people ready for self-sustaining adulthood, this retreat is proof of the company’s commitment to sending out well-rounded, purpose-driven individuals. The ripples of this retreat will be felt long after it has concluded, as the confident, empowered young participants go on to become leaders, creatives, and community change makers.
